Invest in the Future—Support Student Scholarships on Giving Tuesday 2024

Giving Tuesday is fast approaching on December 3 and Covenant Seminary is gearing up to participate. The annual event celebrating generosity and giving back to one’s community is a wonderful way for supporters to help Covenant continue preparing pastors, counselors, and other ministry leaders for Christ’s church through donations to the Seminary’s student scholarship fund.

According to Rev. James Dickson, Vice President of Advancement, “One of our most important institutional goals is to make seminary as affordable as possible. By God’s grace, every year we are able to award $1.8 million in scholarships to help students cover the costs of their education. This enables them to focus more fully on their studies, immerse themselves in the formative life and foundational relationships necessary for developing healthy church leaders, and enter into ministry without the crushing burden of heavy financial debt. We can’t do this without the generous gifts and powerful prayers of many faithful friends and donors with hearts for supporting our mission.”

Dickson also notes that the amount of a donation is not what matters most: “Every single dollar is important to us and to our students. Every gift says that someone cares about them and about the future health of Christ’s church. Whether large or small, a one-time or ongoing gift, all donations are an investment in the lives and ministries of our students, and in the lives of those impacted by them. Each gift has a powerful multiplying effect for the gospel that ripples down the generations, bringing the good news of salvation to untold numbers and giving glory to the name of Jesus Christ.”
