Dr. Aaron Goldstein
Director of Online Learning
Assistant Professor of Old Testament
Dr. Aaron Goldstein began teaching at Covenant in 2015 as a Visiting Instructor in Old Testament and took on additional responsibilities in helping to administrate Covenant’s online program in 2018. In 2021, Dr. Goldstein joined the faculty as Assistant Professor of Old Testament and also became the Director of Online Learning.
Dr. Goldstein holds a PhD in biblical studies from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, where he wrote a dissertation on the narrative role of John the Baptist as eschatological Elijah in Matthew’s Gospel. In the project, he examines the way that John and Jesus together fulfill Old Testament Scripture as they participate in the in–breaking Kingdom of Heaven.
Prior to coming aboard full time at Covenant, Dr. Goldstein served for eight years as a pastor at Cornerstone Church (EFCA), a local congregation in St. Louis, Missouri, and taught as an Adjunct Professor of Religion at Lindenwood University. He has written several articles and book reviews and was a contributor to the ESV Men’s Devotional Bible (2015).
Dr. Goldstein and his wife, Michelle, have three children — a daughter and two sons — and attend Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCA) in St. Louis
