Dr. Mark Pfuetze

Associate Professor of Counseling

Mark holds a PhD in Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, an MDiv and MAC from Covenant Theological Seminary, and is an LPC (licensed professional counselor) with the state of Missouri.

Mark grew up in Kansas City and attended Kansas University (BA – American History; 1993) and then Berklee College of Music in Boston (BM – Music Synthesis; BM – Music Production and Engineering; 1996). He has served in campus ministry and as a missionary with the JESUS Film Project (Cru) for several years. 

As a counselor, Mark has worked with a wide range of issues including marriage and family, anxiety, depression, conflict resolution, teen issues, emotional, sexual, and physical abuse, trauma, and sexual addiction. Mark particularly has a heart for those who are dealing with complex-PTSD, sexual abuse, sexual addiction, anxiety, and personal and marital strife. He commonly uses EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in his counseling practice.

Mark has been married to his wife Mollie for 20 years and they have three children (16, 14, and 11 years old).
