Melissa grew up in Budapest, Hungary for nine years. This time overseas shaped her love for experiencing God through beauty and community. Home, tradition, and roots hold great significance to her after experiencing a cross-cultural move back to the States in sixth grade. Before moving to St. Louis to attend Covenant, she served in campus ministry for 10 years. College students and the highly relational aspects of campus ministry will always hold a special place in her heart! 

Melissa graduated with her Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Education Ministries from Covenant and cherishes how her relationship with God was enriched through her studies. During her time as a student, she discovered her love for spiritual direction, a counseling-adjacent ministry with the goal of creating space for clients to slow down, notice, and experience God’s loving presence in their lives. She also discovered her love for experiencing God through art. Melissa is a certified and practicing spiritual director and hosts events that engage with art to cultivate spiritual formation.
